Sprint
In days your body will break,
skin will crack like a stuttering laughter,
like antique walls struck by time.
Don’t choke in fear, but smile in wonder,
for you too are capable of housing thunder
so let them ride on like fire chariots reaching for a mark.
In days your body will grow roots,
branches will sprout out like garden seeds
showered by a watering can.
See how elastic you have become,
durable like God’s promises,
able to bring forth another body without tearing into mourning
Allow God take a stroll,
for your body too is holy land
So please let Him ovbserve His pilgrimage.
