In Loving Memory Of Death...
Today we bury death,
we watch it spew back the lives it swallowed
as we all search the puke to find pieces of loved ones
we all rested in peace too early.
Today we bury death
survived by tear and trauma.
We heap our blames on the altar of the casket
and read our curses disguised as tributes.
Today we bury death
but we don’t wear black.
We don’t mourn, in unity the world
lowers the casket and watches it hug the earth.
Today we bury death,
the fields are filled with more joy than grief.
We watch our dreams, goals
aspirations and hopes lazarus from the sheol.
