HARLIMAH OLAJUMOKE. “your problem is not one man's problem, a lot of people wear shoes that fit you too”
I am Harlimah Olajumoke, a poet.
My Art as a writer broadens the mind. To be qualified as a good writer you need to be able to read different writers and understand them. The ability to understand gives you a sense of belonging in that Era of writing and opens your mind to what the writer is trying to pass across.
It also serves as a therapy to people to that read you because, you are not the only person that feels however you feel but the moment another individual can connect to your work then you have been able to help them find their shoes and wear it, your problem is not one man's problem, a lot of people wear shoes that fit you too.
Writing serves as an escape, a place of relief and makes you view life from a different perspective. It brings enough to the table to make you see that life is diverse and understanding life to a bit makes it easier for you to live in.
It has helped me increase my level of reasoning and made me read in between lines. It has helped me improve in my vocabulary and also the kind of discussions I get into. It has also brought about a platform where I can interact intelligently and educate people about writing to an extent, though I'm still learning.
My Art keeps me afloat, this is who I am.
