MORE CHURCHES less Christians…

More stadiums disguised as auditoriums

More stage plays clothed in message deliveries

More shrines as pulpits

More appeasements as tithes and offerings

More PDFs called sermon

More dialects called tongues

More manifestoes as promises

More robbery called blessings

More initiations called deliverance

More puppets as members

More status segregations as seat reservation

More diluted messages as prophecies

More licenses for sin called grace

More tears in Heaven and less remorse on earth

More bible studies yet more misunderstanding

City walls painted with church posters

And streets tiled with thrown away pamphlets

“Power packed programmes” clipped on the boards of each day

Services conducted in shifts

Titles on names that don’t deserve them

Synagogues flashing our eyes like car lights

Each with names as lengthy as the years of Methuselah

 More convincing testimonies but less repentance

More preaching

Yet more violence

More rape and incest

More fornication and endless abortions

More strives and more grudges

More family riots and clashes

More corruption and missing ballot boxes

So do these sermons find themselves on deaf ears?

Or do these preachers fail to align the margin between word and works?

Do their preaching and deeds disagree?

Or is this just me
