Teach Him These Things

Teach him these things 
Teach him about forgiveness 
Tell him to keep his heart free of prisoners 
It will help his blood circulate properly 
Tell him that grudge bearing is a waste of energy 
Because it puts him in the same casket as well as the grudged 
Tell him that forgiveness may seem impossible 
But despite the level of offence, it's the easiest 
And if he loves himself he'll do it 
Because forgiveness is not for the offender 
It is for the offended 
Teach him to be attentive 
For the heart that listens carves the right path for itself
