CONVERGE

Come
O ye faithfuls
Wordsmiths of the 21st
Come I say
But not alone
Gather around with your inking swords
Let us shed together
Let us spill more ink than blood
Scar more sheets than skin
Come
O ye speech stitchers
Let us hem the falling edges of our fading humanity together
Let our tongues speak life and bury death
Let us rhyme and reason
Search and deepen
For our horizons we widen
O come,
Can’t you see how the sun shivers in fear
Let us cover it in a blanket of warmth
Remind it of it’s glory days
Tell it that it needs to shine again
Fierce and bolder than ever
To atleast give hope to those who have misplaced theirs
Give light to those with silhouette directions
Come,
Let us baptize the world in a pool of poetry
Let these letters be liquid
Let it soak deep to the roots of every breath
As we speak in tongues
The type only we can relate to
Come,
Let us feast and make merry
For this si not the last supper, this is reinforcement
As we break bread and drink solemn wine
For here there’s no false kiss
Here there’s no boss or leader
We are disciples unto each other
As we marry our dreams and ideas together
Till death seals it better and stonger
Come,
Let us plant while it’s time to do so
Let our words germinate into sprouting branches
Let it touch other seeds
Until our descendats harvest of the fruits sown
