Single And Saved

Whoever said marriage was ultimate?
Why do we tie fulfillment to wedding gowns?
In a culture where it seems the highest trophy
A world where single and aged means cursed
Nuptial rings do not define peace
If you need it, look within
For how long do we keep forcing the hands of time?
Aren’t we tired of warning alarms?
Pressure equals regrets
And its true age waits for no man
But seconds of lonesome peace
Is far better than decades of bonded slavery
