Gratitude

Gradually,

your body would begin to vomit sweat,

your eyes would excrete tears,

and your hands would become dry,

vacant of life.

When you phone God,

and it feels like your faith is low on credit

look inside yourself,

stir your soul into wonder

and remind yourself of what a beauty you have become.

Open your heart and listen

to the whispers of the birds

and the peace that journeys with the breeze

for in there, just in there,

you will hear God speak.
