Teach Thy Sons These Things

Teach him these things
Teach him about words
Tell him that the tongue is a gun
And words are it bullets
Please tell him to shoot wisely
Never to fire a stray bullet
Because once shot,
The wounds can heal but the scars will remain
Tell him never to shoot when angry
Because he might regret his shot when he comes back to sanity
Tell him also to pick his bullets wisely before loading
Because sometimes we commit suicide with the very bullets we fire
Tell him to shoot when necessary
And to hold his fire when appropriate
