Clueless

He was happy;
They were happy
At least for the first parts of it
For the best parts of it
Most times,
With great favor comes less value
We only see the value of it if there’s a price tag on it
HIS love was free
Given to man on a platter of clear conscience
And we couldn’t see the use
Until HE put a price tag on it
Even now, we still find it hard to comply
How did love become so hard?
How did affection become so defective?
Sometimes cluelessness is best for man
He operates better that way; being in the dark
