Deathrow

January 31 2018 , Written by Ofem Ubi Published on #poetry

Today I killed a girl

Firing shots at her knees like a century old soldier

My bullet was a circumference of death

And she, was its morning prey

Today I killed a man

I hid his body 6ft beneath the grounds of anger

I sniffed him out of earth without his consent

He never knew he was dead anyways

This makes it so much better and easier

Today I killed a pastor

I called his corpse to come forth

And let him mime his way to Hades

I do not carry weapons, I’m a living one

Today I have killed many

Tomorrow I’ll do same

Not with a metal piece

 Too cliché that is

My tongue is way too creative than that
